The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged dominant in the just-concluded FCT Area Council Elections, winning five out of six chairmanship seats across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The polls, conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, recorded peaceful voting but low turnout across the six area councils.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attributed the APC’s strong performance to the “remarkable achievements” of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stating that his infrastructural and administrative reforms have yielded political dividends for the ruling party.
